Holiday Light Spectacular brings holiday cheer to AMS

Santa’s Village will be open each Thursday through Sunday during the Holiday Light Spectacular and daily from Dec. 17-30. There, kids can meet Mr. Claus himself and have a keepsake photo or video made with Santa. Also inside Santa’s Village, visitors can squeeze in some holiday shopping with a great variety of locally owned businesses ready to help cross items off your list.

If the lights and Santa’s village weren’t enough, visitors to the Holiday Light Spectacular can kick their evening up a notch at the carnival, presented by Kissel Entertainment. Open nightly, the carnival will feature popular rides and prize-winning games. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $20. Carnival snacks, food provided by Tannery Row Ale House and hot cocoa and snow cones provided by Kona Ice will all be available at the carnival to satisfy cravings of all varieties.

New at the show in 2015, drive-in movie nights will help everyone from the young to the young at heart get into the spirit of the season. On Dec. 12, Christmastime favorite, Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” will be shown, while “The Polar Express” featuring Tom Hanks will light up the big screen on Dec. 19. The movies, presented by Strong Rock Christian School, will run continuously on the designated nights, and there is no extra charge to watch.
